Samsung is dedicated to fostering a positive, safe, and harassment-free community, both in physical spaces and online. We have a lot of faith in the ability of the Samsung community to help us with this by treating each other with respect and kindness. To that end, this code of conduct outlines our expectations for the behavior of those who participate in our events, including attendees, sponsors, speakers, media, exhibitors, and staff.
Anyone participating in our events in any capacity is agreeing to comply with our code of conduct. The rules are simple:

Treating people with respect and courtesy is at the core of our code of conduct. Think about how your actions affect those around you; if they have a negative effect, reconsider them.
Only smoke in designated smoking areas. Wear appropriate attire that does not include explicit imagery or profanity. Don’t bring items that can be used as weapons or which pose a danger to others.
In addition to respecting event participants, it is also important to respect the venue and furniture / equipment. Causing damage to personal property, littering, and using property that does belong to you without permission from the owner are all in violation of the code of conduct. All event participants are also required to comply with the rules and policies of the event venue.
Samsung may share event venues with other organizations and members of the public. It is expected that participants in Samsung events will treat all patrons of the event venue with respect.
In general, if you’re not sure whether something is appropriate or not, err on the safe side and don’t do it.

Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated at Samsung events. This can include verbal harassment, intimidation or threats, physical violence, stalking, sexually explicit behavior, inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome sexual advances, use of profanity, and continued interruption or disruption during a talk or event.
Discrimination related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, gender identity and expression, disability, ethnicity, age, physical appearance, or national origin will not be tolerated.

Take note of your surroundings and the actions of those around you. If you notice behavior that violates this code of conduct, or which you consider to be inappropriate or offensive, inform the event staff or security. In addition, if you have a personal safety concern, be sure to notify the event staff or security immediately.

The consequences for violating the code of conduct will be left to the sole determination of Samsung event staff. Any and all decisions made by Samsung event staff will be final, and will not be open to appeal.
Samsung event staff may take any action they deem appropriate, including expelling the participant from the event without warning or refund. If a participant is engaging in illegal activity or poses a threat, the proper authorities will be contacted.
